Privacy Policy

What’s up! So you’re interested in how we handle your privacy? Alright! We’ll try to make this as painless as possible. Cause we know that lengthy documents with tons of legal lingo are boring as hell! Aight, so here we go.

Where do we hang out if we’re not in the pub? Our registered company address is:
MEAVO Limited, International House, 12 Constance Street, London E16 2DQ

Our company number is 11177638.

Need to reach us? Drop us a line: hello@meavo.com

This privacy policy (and our terms and conditions) may change from time to time so check back regularly especially before making a purchase (yeah right).

Why do we want your personal information?

We’ll collect your personal information when you buy products and services from us. That’ll allow us to complete your order  as we have agreed under our terms and conditions.

So in order to complete your order we need to validate that the personal and financial information you gave us is accurate. We use payment systems of trusted third parties to ensure that your payment is safe and that your details are not being used by those damn fraudsters out there.

And then we gotta ship our products to you! We work with external freight companies and provide them with your personal information (e.g. your name, phone number and delivery address).

We might also wanna contact you via phone or email about how we’re doing. Just to get your honest feedback even if it’s to tell us that we suck!

Plus, if you want to download a spec sheet about our products, you need to give us your first name and email address.  For our legitimate business interests,  we will use that information to drop you a quick email to see if you have any questions or if you are still interested in the product described in the spec sheet .

As to marketing purposes, again, for our legitimate business interests from time to time we wanna send you information about our products, services, and promotions. We also have a Showroom Newsletter that includes all that information in addition to information about other products on display by other partners in our showroom.

If you are fed up with our marketing emails you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails. Or send us an email to hello@meavo.com

All of your personal information we hold on you is confidential. We ain’t gonna tell nobody!

What personal information do we collect?

So we can process your order we’ll need your name, address, payment address, delivery address, phone number, email address, credit / debit card details (or other payment information). We’ll also keep your purchase history of MEAVO products and services plus any information you decide to share with us (like your favourite colour… just kidding!).

We do collect some anonymous data about how you use our website – this is just for us to analyse and review so we can make our website and service better.

What personal information do we pass on to third parties?

Don’t you worry – we’ll never sell or disclose your personal information to a third party unless it’s for any of the following reasons.

We may give your personal information to partners we work with for example freight companies so they know your delivery address, or a CRM tool which will send automated order confirmation emails or marketing emails, or payment processing firms, or fraud prevention firms, etc. You get the idea! We’ll only pass on your information to partners who are critical for us to run our business… or if the police show up with a search warrant! You know, like in the movies…

It’s possible that we might sell our business, and if we do then the new owners may use your personal information in the same way as we do in this privacy policy.

Where do we keep your personal information?

We store your personal information in secure third party places (e.g. CRM tools). We try to protect your personal information as much as possible, but can’t guarantee that we won’t get hacked one day by ***** (we don’t want to name anyone, or they’ll definitely hack us!).

It is possible that we might have to transfer your personal information outside of the UK because a partner we work with, like a partner who helps us host our systems, is outside of the UK.

For how long do we keep your personal information?

We may need to keep your personal information even after we have delivered your goods to you.  This is to deal with any issues that might arise, and more boringly, for ta and financial purposes.    Rest assured, we will only keep your personal information for as long as we need to, and then  we shall either delete or anonymise it or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your it until we can delete it.

What about links to other websites?

Our website may contain links to and from third party websites. These websites have their own privacy policies – make sure you check’em if you go to their websites! We can’t accept any responsibility or liability for their policies.

What personal information do we hold on you?

If you want to know what information we stored about you we can provide you with that information for free. Ain’t gonna cost you a thing. It might take up to 30 days to process your request. So if you’re curious send us an email to hello@meavo.com

You want us to delete your data?

If you want to us to delete all personal information we have stored about you, just drop us a line to hello@meavo.com to let us know. It might take up to 30 days to process your request.

Your other rights

We want you to know that you do have some other rights – you can ask us to correct errors in your personal information, stop us processing it for certain reasons and ask us to give your personal information to someone else. You can find out more here.

If you have any complaints, please tell us and we will do our best to sort it! But, if we can’t make you happy, you can  contact the Information Commissioner, see www.ico.org.uk or if you are based outside of the United Kingdom, your local regulatory authority.

That’s it!
